Visit the outstanding sea aquarium of NZ sea and shore creatures, buy Mapua's famous smoked fish or dine on the wharf with superb views out over the water.
Discover unexpected treasures in the many shops in the historic wharf complex or at stalls along the roadside. Take an early walk at sunrise along the beach beneath tall cliffs, feed the tame eels at Jester house,or stop at one of the galleries along the way.

The Peninsula drive has rural and sea views to take your breath away. Vineyards and apple orchards grow on the sloping hillsides and then you'll find a gallery or a sculpture garden, alpacas to watch or eels to hand feed. The picturesque little 9-hole golf course on top of Kina's Cliffs has stunning views across the bay to Nelson and down the bays to the Abel Tasman National Park.
